Stay Weird McKenza

Posted on November 22, 2016 By Angie Keiser

It finally happened.

Yesterday, Mayhem relayed a conversation she had with one of the neighbor boys:

Neighbor: Hey – I accidentally kicked my soccer ball onto your side porch yesterday and I had to go up there to get it.

Mayhem: Yeah…

Neighbor: And when I picked up the ball, I noticed a kind of shadowy figure in the window.

Mayhem: Yeah …

Neighbor: And I looked in and it looked like a mannequin or something …

Mayhem: Yeah … it is.

Neighbor: Oh thank goodness.

So I asked Mayhem if she explained that she has a few mannequins because she likes making clothes. She said, “No, I’m sure they’d think that’s weird.”

Because having creepy child mannequins that you’ve drawn faces on hanging out in the window certainly isn’t weird enough on it’s own …

I’m gonna have to have a conversation with their parents before we’re officially declared the crazy family on the block. Just in case there’s still time to head that off. Wish me luck.

WEIRD IS AWESOME, MAYHEM!!! I think you & McKenza are so cool… no need to worry about what a silly boy thinks or would deem “weird” #GIRLPOWER

The funniest part (to me) was that she had not a care in the world about it … no big deal 🙂

What I think is spectacular is the boy’s response….”Oh thank goodness.” Sounds like he thought that was normal….wonder what he thought it was!
I don’t think you have much to explain….sounds like the kid was cool with it. 🙂
