Let’s play a game. You’ve got a 50/50 shot at winning. Ready? I temporarily lost one of these girls yesterday. Could.Not.Find.Her. Ran around the house in a panic, yelling for her, and she never answered. Frantically, started opening closet doors.

I decided to follow the art. Get back to it. Let it flow and see where it takes me.

We’ve tossed around some decorative ideas for her room. She actually has a pretty clear vision of some of the things she wants in there, but when we saw these scraps, leftover from one of Keith’s work projects, we came up with a plan for a feature wall. That was also before she switched rooms.

We didn’t have our builder landscape anything here at the new house. Partly because we wanted to offset some expenses with the landscape budget, and mostly because we want to take our time and choose landscaping that we’ll love. It’s a little sad to start over, and not already have mature thriving plants flanking the house, but at the same time it’s exciting because we have a completely blank canvas.

Remember how we had her bedroom painted last week? Plot twist: her bedroom walls are white again. Here’s the deal – from the time we found this house (under construction) we had a plan for a certain bedroom to be Sydney’s. It’s the biggest of the bedrooms (besides our’s) and has the best view. BUT, as the move grew closer, Sydney started mentioning that she was a little nervous about being in that room. She has reasons. They are valid and they are private.
